How to Apply a Custom Minecraft Skin

This is so easy, but I’ll write a little tutorial for you guys anyway.

  1. Head over to any of the popular skin sharing sites (or this one ;) ) and download a skin of your choosing
  2. Go to minecraft.net and go to your Preferences page (once you’re logged in of course)
  3. Upload your skin and hit apply.

That’s all there is to it.

    GRRR its would be nice if you told us you have to BUY THE GAME so its not techniclly free.

      Uuuuuum, they say the skins are for free, and the pattern on which you can make your own is free…no one ever said it would be a completely free procedure as there are 3rd parties(minecraft game) which are not free ;)

    I have completely forgotten that minecraft has an actual website, after I bought the game I haven’t used any other computer application in a long, long time. Thanks for the reality check.

    How To Download.
    1.go to your start menu and click run
    2.type in these exact letters %appdata%
    3.click the foler that says .minecraft open it
    4.open the “bin” folder
    5.Open the folder that says minecraft (right click on it click open with and choose winRAR)
    6.go to the folder that says mob
    7. open the file that says Char.png
    8.copy the image of the person you want to download
    9.paste it onto the char.png file
    10.have fun
    **read me first!!!!!!!** you MUST!!! have minecraft closed when in the process in doing this.
